Page 1 of 3 The development of e-government in Solok municipality has now been in progress. The development is just up to website management and the existing network infrastructure is still at each institution meaning that there has not been coordination among them. It is planned that the institution handling the e-government is Bagian Humas (Public Relation Division) Sub Division of Infokom (before was Information Department) and the Master plan will have just been made by 2007 and will have finished by April 2007. Badan Kepegawaian Daerah “BKD” (Local Government Human Resources Agency) is the agency that has the authority to manage training, however there has not been a technical training of ICT at BKD. From about 5,000 civil servants of Solok municipality spread into 70 departments/Agencies/including sub-districts, 100 persons understand IT. IT training has ever been carried out, coordinating with Bappeda for the GIS training and website management training. Nowadays Solok Municipality has not possessed e-government application.
